केंचुए बरसात के दिनों में ही क्यों दिखाई देते हैं ?

 

हम सभी जानते हैं कि केंचुए केवल बरसात के दिनों में ही हमें दिखाई देते हैं। ये जाड़े के दिनों में, और गर्मी में नहीं दिखाई देते हैं। क्या आप जानते हैं कि ये इन दिनों में कहां चले जाते हैं ?

      केंचुआ एक प्रकार का बहुकोशिकीय जीव है। केंचुआ पृथ्वी के अन्दर रहने वाला जीव है। यह अपने श्वसन क्रिया में मिट्टी में उपस्थित आक्सीजन का उपयोग करता है।

      ये पृथ्वी के बाहर से अन्दर तक छिद्र कर देते हैं, जिससे इनको अपने श्वसन क्रिया में सहायता मिलती है।

      बारिश के दिनों में ये सभी छिद्र बंद हो जाते हैं, जिससे इनको सांस लेने में दिक्कत होती है, और ये पृथ्वी से बाहर निकल आते हैं। बारिश का मौसम समाप्त होते ही ये फिर पृथ्वी के अन्दर चले जाते  हैं।
